Job summary

Caring Kindergartens Ltd is hiring a Level 3 qualified childcare practitioner to join our nursery team in Northampton. You will be entrusted as a keyworker for a group of children, observing and recording progress and planning developmentally appropriate activities.

You will promote learning, support emotional and physical development, and collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, caring environment. DBS clearance and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 childcare qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and DBS clearance.
• Previous childcare experience in an early years setting.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team as a keyworker for a group of children, observing, recording and assessing progress with observations and photos.
• Develop high quality interactions to extend children’s thinking and learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver play experiences supporting physical, intellectual and emotional development.
• Ensure activities align with children’s next steps, observations and interests under EYFS.
• Support each child’s self-esteem, confidence and sense of competence.
• Model positive behaviour and build strong relationships with children and families.
• Attend regular training to stay updated with current practices and policies.
