Job summary

Caring Kindergartens Ltd is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team. The role requires a Level 2 childcare qualification, strong EYFS understanding, and excellent English skills. You will be part of a welcoming environment focused on child-centered learning and safeguarding.

You will contribute to planning and delivering varied activities, observing and supporting children's development, and maintaining high standards of care. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 childcare qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent English language skills (spoken and written).
• Clear DBS check.
• Previous childcare experience in an early years setting.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and act as key worker for a group of children – observe, record and assess progress and development with photos.
• Develop high quality interactions to build on children’s thinking and learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver a wide range of play experiences promoting physical, intellectual and emotional development.
• Ensure activities are drawn from observations and next steps within EYFS.
• Support each child in developing self-esteem, confidence and feelings of competence.
• Provide a positive model of behaviour towards children, families and colleagues.
• Attend training/workshops to promote personal and professional development.
• Maintain hygiene standards per Caring Kindergartens policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, proactive nursery team.
