Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a private day nursery in Leicester (LE4). The role runs full-time, 8am–5pm, on-site, contract basis, and involves planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to support development within the EYFS framework.

Salary ranges from £14.25 to £15.50 per hour. Benefits include 24/7 onboarding support, CPD courses, market-leading pay, and a referral scheme. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential).
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (essential).
• Experience in nursery or Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS safeguarding procedures.
• Confident in supporting children's learning, development and daily care routines.
• Caring, reliable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities within EYFS.
• Promote children's development and learning.
• Support children in daily care routines and a safe environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and work with the nursery team to provide high-quality childcare.
