Job summary

Amtest UK Ltd is offering a Level 3 Materials Technician apprenticeship in London, focusing on lab and field testing of construction materials. This 20-month programme combines hands-on site work with structured training, mentored by experienced technicians.

You will learn to carry out tests, handle equipment, and record results while developing practical skills for a career in materials testing and construction. A UK driving license and 18+ eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• You must be 18+ to work in this environment.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• Not currently pursuing full-time education; resident in the UK for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Get hands-on with materials testing in lab and at sites.
• Learn to use specialist testing equipment and perform checks.
• Prepare and manage samples for testing.
• Record test results accurately in worksheets and systems.
• Build knowledge of quality and compliance in testing procedures.
• Gain experience across lab and site environments and work with teams.
• Learn from experienced technicians and build independence.
