Job summary

Qualifications

• Eligibility for an apprenticeship with Level 3 Materials Technician pathway.
• Be 18+ and not in full-time education, with UK residency criteria.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a laboratory-based role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out metallurgical testing including tensile, hardness, impact, creep strain, stress rupture, grain size, OES, XRF, Leco, AA.
• Prepare metal samples for testing and perform heat treatment as specified.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and furnaces.
• Record and analyse data, ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.
• Participate in training, audits and continuous improvement of procedures.
