Job summary

Veritas Education are seeking a Level 3 EYFS Practitioner to join a welcoming primary school or early years setting in Newham, East London on a permanent, full-time basis.

As part of the Early Years team you will support children in the EYFS, helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically through engaging, play-based learning. The role starts immediately or from September, with a permanent contract and term-time alignment.

Qualifications

• Essential: Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
• Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Desirable: Previous EYFS Practitioner experience
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Paediatric First Aid
• Safeguarding training
• Experience in a primary school or nursery setting

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality EYFS learning and activities
• Work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team
• Support children's development across the EYFS framework
• Plan and deliver engaging play-based activities
• Provide support to individual children and small groups
• Observe, assess and record children's progress
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and staff
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
