Job summary

Cheetwood Primary School in Manchester is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and nurturing team, focusing on EYFS and early development through play and purposeful learning.

You will work under supervision of class teachers, deliver small-group and 1:1 support, assist with assessments and observations, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment that reflects our pupil-led values and safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working within EYFS and understanding of child development.
• Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, patient, proactive and passionate about early education.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning within EYFS.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 intervention as directed by teachers.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment reflecting our ethos.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Provide short-term classroom supervision across other year groups when needed.
• Assist with assessment, observations and recording of pupils’ progress.
• Promote curiosity, enthusiasm, optimism and respect for diversity.
• Contribute to wider school life and teamwork.
