Job summary

EIAT is seeking two Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistants for Mayfield School, a special school in Birmingham serving pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of special educational needs. The posts are 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, and permanent.

Start date 2 November 2026; closing date 18 September 2026; enhanced DBS required. Mayfield School operates across two sites in Lozells and Handsworth, with the EYFS department based at Heathfield Road.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with children in an EYFS setting.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Relevant EYFS qualifications or recognised training.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
• Role model positive attitudes and behaviours within EYFS.
• Work with others as part of a strong team and participate in tailored CPD.
