Job summary

Akeley Wood Junior School, part of Blenheim, is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the Nursery team at Akeley Wood, Buckingham. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with 52 weeks of service and shifts 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care, support activities, build relationships with families and act as a Key Worker, contributing to a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification is essential.
• Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Warm, empathetic and energetic approach to working with young children.
• Strong communication with colleagues and parents.
• Understanding of safeguarding and safe working practices.
• Flexibility, resilience and genuine passion for helping children flourish.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the Nursery.
• Support planning and delivery of creative activities tailored to individual needs.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families with clear communication.
• Act as a Key Worker, observing and documenting each child's progress.
