Job summary

Ferham Primary School in the United Kingdom is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team and support high-quality learning in our EYFS.

You will contribute to planning and assessment, nurture language development through play, and promote safeguarding while helping create a stimulating, inclusive and engaging EYFS environment for our youngest pupils.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Early Years education or equivalent.
• Recent experience working with children in an EYFS setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Understands how young children learn best through play and exploration.
• Able to support high-quality interactions and language development.
• Team player who can use initiative when required and contribute to planning and assessment.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

What we’re looking for is someone who:

• Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years education or equivalent
• Has recent, successful experience of working with children in an EYFS setting
• Demonstrates good knowledge and understanding of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Understands how young children learn best - particularly through play and exploration
• Can support high-quality interactions and language development
• Is able to work flexibly as part of a team and use their initiative when required
• Can contribute to planning, assessment, and the organisation of a purposeful and engaging EYFS environment
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
