Job summary

StaffNest Recruitment Agency is seeking a caring Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a nursery in RG7, Reading. You will support children aged 0-5 in line with EYFS and help create a warm, stimulating environment.

The role requires a recognised Level 3 EY/Childcare qualification, nursery experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is expected, with paediatric first aid desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 EY/Childcare qualification suitable for EYFS ratios.
• Experience in nursery or Early Years settings.
• Good knowledge of EYFS.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain.
• Paediatric First Aid desirable.

The successful candidate must hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification that is suitable for EYFS ratios.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS
• Planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate activities
• Carrying out observations and supporting children's next steps
• Working as a key person
• Supporting children's personal care and daily routines
• Maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policiesBuilding positive relationships with parents and colleagues

Requirements:

• Recognised Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
• Previous nursery or Early Years experience
• Good knowledge of the EYFS
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable
