Job summary

Streatham House Nursery in Crosby, L23 is hiring an experienced Childcare Level 3 Early Years Educator. The role offers 3, 4 or full-time days (24–40 hours per week) with a competitive starting rate of £12.90 per hour.

The setting emphasises wellbeing, DBS support, and career progression. Excellent in-house training and regular team treats accompany a family-run environment with director support and staff childcare discounts.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in a Level 3 childcare role.
• Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development activities.
• Assist with daily care routines and routines within the nursery.
• Maintain safeguarding; support DBS and references process as required.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, Childcare Level 3 Early Years Educator to join our team at Streatham House Nursery in Crosby, L23. The nursery has an outstanding reputation in the local community and is in a prime location. This role is part-time with opportunities of 3, 4 or full-time days for the right candidate, between 24 and 40 hours a week.

Streatham House Nurserycelebrated it's centenary year in 2025and is a wonderful family-run nursery that is a key part of the local community; providing the highest standards of care and education to ensure children are supported to be their best individual self.

Except for occasional training you are not required to work evening or weekends. The setting is closed on all bank holidays, we also do not open on Christmas Eve!! The nursery closes over Christmas until the first working day in the New Year.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• Do you have the relevant qualifications and have at least 6 months experience working at Level 3 or above?
• Are you an energetic and innovative individual and enjoys working in a creative setting?
• Are you able to work to high standards and use your initiative as required by the job?
• Are you in tune with a child’s interests and able to capture those “teachable” moments, while inspiring awe and wonder in each individual child to extend on their learning and development outcomes?
• Do you have experience of taking responsibility for key children’s learning development and can monitor, assess, and record children’s outcomes? Can you evaluate and plan challenging yet fun next steps?
