Job summary

Sunnybank Day Nursery in the East Midlands is offering a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship. The role blends learning with hands-on nursery practice, supporting a safe, welcoming environment where children can develop and thrive.

You will assist in delivering developmentally appropriate activities, maintain records, follow EYFS guidance, and work closely with staff and parents to support children's learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation of the setting’s outstanding ethos and curriculum, whilst providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment in which children can develop and thrive.
• Complete observations which link to the development matters framework and characteristics of effective learning.
• Keep accurate Learning Journeys on your own Key Children.
• Work with parents of SEN children to support full integration within the Nursery.
• Support and liaise effectively with parents and carers.
• Record accidents and incidents as per internal procedure.
• To communicate effectively with team members and always uphold professional manner.
• To monitor safeguarding concerns following internal policy.
• To uphold and ensure a high standard of care within the Nursery.
