Job summary

Realise Training in Skegness is partnering with Little Learners Nursery to recruit an Early Years Apprentice. You will work toward a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience with children in a busy nursery setting. Expect a 40-hour week, with induction and on-the-job training.

Earn £8.10 per hour, with bonuses at completion and after one year. This apprenticeship offers practical development, supportive mentors, and a direct path to a future in early years

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the required level of functional skills alongside the apprenticeship.
• Team player, enthusiastic, motivated, reliable with good communication.
• Ability to learn new skills and meet deadlines; self-discipline to complete coursework on time.

Responsibilities

• Promote positive relationships in the setting.
• Promote the health, safety and well-being of the children.
• Support the children’s development, learning and play.
• Support key persons carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a group of children and their families; once confident be responsible for a small cohort of children within the room with the support of the staff and management.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of team work.
• Be a role model and showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with children.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed in line with local authority and company procedures.
• Support the nursery management team to reach an outstanding Ofsted grade.
