Job summary

Black and White Accounting are offering an Accounts Assistant Apprentice role in Basingstoke. You will study toward your Level 3 Accounts Assistant apprenticeship while gaining hands-on client work from day one.

You will learn bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, CIS, year-end accounts and personal tax, and you’ll use accounting software on real client data while building relationships with clients and developing on-the-job skills.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 2 is desirable or required.
• You will be working toward the Assistant Accountant Level 3 apprenticeship.
• Apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect prior knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Join a friendly team and work on real client work from day one.
• Carry out bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, CIS, and year-end accounts.
• Support with personal tax returns and client queries.
• Develop accounting skills and learn double-entry bookkeeping on the job.
