Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes!

Job Title: Teaching Assistant (ASD & Social Communication Needs)
Location: Milton Keynes (MK8)
Rate: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist school in Milton Keynes. The school caters to learners aged 4 to 19 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Social Communication difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD and Social Communication needs
  2. Assist in creating an inclusive and structured learning environment
  3. Support students with their daily routines, communication, and social interactions
  4. Swimming participation is essential, as students take part in swimming as part of the curriculum
Key Requirements:
  1. Experience working with children or young people with ASD or Social Communication difficulties
  2. A calm, proactive approach with strong communication skills
  3. A positive "can-do" attitude and ability to adapt to students' needs
  4. A willingness to support students in the pool during swimming sessions
  5. Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
