Job summary

Ysgol Maes y Coed Special is seeking two Level 2+ Teaching Assistants on a temporary basis until 31 August 2027. The roles total 32 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year), with a salary of £19,116–£20,365 per annum and a term-time adjustment. Start date is ASAP and the school requires experience with pupils with severe/profound learning needs.

Welsh language skills are not required. The post is subject to safeguarding procedures and a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school with pupils with severe/profound learning needs is essential.
• Welsh language skills are not necessary.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure will be required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with severe/profound learning needs as part of a team.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to deliver lessons.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of children in line with school policies.
