Job summary

Haughton Academy is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support teaching staff in delivering high-quality educational provision.

The role involves 37 hours per week, term time only, plus one week, delivering individual and small-group interventions and supporting students with additional needs under the SEND Manager and teachers.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• A Level qualification or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with SEND.
• Experience with 11-16.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

The working hours for this role are 37 hours per week, term time only, plus one week. Working under the direction of the SEND Manager and class teachers, you will provide support to pupils, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential. The role will include delivering individual and small-group interventions and supporting students with a range of additional needs.

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above. A Level qualification or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• Experience working with children with SEND, including supporting behavioural, social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Experience of, and a genuine passion for, working with young people aged 11-16.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Band 7 (SCP 14 £30,515 to SCP 17 £32,046 - FTE)
