Job summary

Queensbury School in Birmingham is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The role supports learning within a differentiated National Curriculum, assisting planning and delivery of engaging lessons, and working closely with staff, pupils and parents.

Contract is permanent with 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only. Start date January 2027; closing date 2 November 2026; Enhanced DBS is required. Salary scales £24,796–£26,824 FTE, with pro-rata for actual hours.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS Check required.
• Ability to plan and deliver the curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way.
• Communicate effectively with children, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support learning through differentiated activities in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assist with planning and delivering lessons across a range of activities.
• Work as part of a team across Queensbury School and New Horizons as required.

Salary: Grade 2 - £24,796 - £26,824 FTE (£19,304.30 - £20,883.15 actual). Pay award pending Autumn 2026

Allowances: SEN Allowance (£1,722) pro rata

Queensbury School is looking for keen and talented Level 2 Teaching Assistants who are committed to child centred learning, able to plan and deliver the curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way, can communicate effectively with children, staff and parents and are able to work as part of a team.
