Job description

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students across various subjects within the national curriculum.
• Provide individualised support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Contribute to the planning, preparation, and assessment of lessons and activities, under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to promote effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification related to working with children in schools, such as Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a school environment and familiarity with the national curriculum.
• Experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Dedication to the welfare and educational development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
