Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 / Play Worker (It is expected that one person will take up both posts)

Hours: Teaching Assistant Level 2 - 28.75 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working (39 weeks per year); Play Worker - 9 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working (39 weeks per year)

Start Date: September 2025

The Governors of St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary Academy are seeking a dedicated and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support SEND students, working with individuals or groups with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

You will collaborate with the SENDCo, class teachers, and external agencies to provide personalized support, enabling children to access a relevant curriculum and maximize their learning.

The role also includes some responsibilities in our wrap-around care provision.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess excellent basic skills
  • Provide specific support to promote positive progress for children with SEND
  • Be an experienced practitioner
  • Be enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, well-organized, patient, and caring
  • Deliver high-quality specialist support to pupil learning
  • Support after-school care across the school

The Kidz Klub operates from 7:45 am to 9:00 am and from 3:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
