Job summary

Lincolnshire House Association in Scunthorpe is seeking a compassionate Adult Care Worker Apprentice to join our residential care team. The apprenticeship combines hands-on care with online training to achieve the Level 2 Adult Care Worker standard.

You will support residents, follow care plans, and work 30 hours per week at £8.00 per hour, with a pay increase after 12 months for 19+ year olds. This role includes DBS checks and pre-employment checks, with the potential for full-time employment

Qualifications

• Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship standard qualification.
• Pre-employment checks including DBS via Matrix Screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to residents.
• Read and understand care plans, risk assessments, and guidance to provide safe and personalised support.
• Help with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and supporting with toileting.
• Support with mobility, moving and handling, and safely using equipment.
• Prepare meals and drinks and support individuals with eating and drinking.
• Support with medication in line with training and procedures.
• Complete accurate care records using digital systems and report changes or concerns.
• Provide companionship and social support to reduce isolation.
• Assist with light household tasks such as laundry and shopping.
• Work with families and healthcare professionals to provide the best care.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings to develop skills.
