Extractly in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, is seeking a CAD Technician to join their LEV contract and project engineering team on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in LEV or related mechanical/industrial systems.
• Strong project engineering, planning, scheduling, and budget tracking.
• Excellent communication with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of UK/EU health and safety legislation, ideally ATEX/LEV; P602 certificate.
• Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree) is highly beneficial.
• Experience in on-site installation, commissioning or inspection of ventilation or extraction systems is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use CAD tools; prepare clear documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage LEV projects from enquiry to completion, including surveys, specs, design and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to prepare project plans.
• Oversee installation activities and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Review drawings and technical documentation and monitor project progress.

looking to add a new CAD Technician to the staff

Role Description

The LEV Contract / Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dewsbury. This position is responsible for managing LEV projects from initial enquiry through to completion, including site surveys, technical specifications, system design, and cost estimates. Daily tasks include coordinating with clients and internal teams, preparing project plans, overseeing installation activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards. The role involves reviewing drawings and technical documentation, monitoring project progress, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The engineer will also support continuous improvement of LEV solutions, contribute to product selection, and provide technical guidance to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills, with experience in LEV or related mechanical/industrial systems.
• Candidates should possess effective Project Management and Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource coordination, and budget tracking.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess solid understanding of UK and EU Health and Safety legislation, ideally including ATEX and LEV standards hold a P602 Certificate.
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND or degree in mechanical or industrial engineering) is highly beneficial.
