Job summary

Vasto Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Construction & Development Finance Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join its city office. The role focuses on non-contentious construction matters and real estate finance for lenders funding development and construction projects.

You will advise lenders on contracts, warranties, guarantees and related security, while supporting development finance and secured lending transactions in a hybrid office arrangement.

Qualifications

• 4+ PQE with experience in non-contentious construction law.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and negotiating JCT and other building contracts.
• Advising on professional appointments and consultant agreements.
• Reviewing collateral warranties and third-party rights.
• Advising on assignments, novations and step-in rights.
• Reviewing performance security and other contractual protections.
• Advising on professional indemnity insurance provisions.
• Reviewing development agreements and other construction-related documentation.
• Undertaking construction due diligence and preparing lender reports.
• Advising on conditions precedent relating to construction documentation.
• Supporting development finance and real estate finance transactions.
• Reviewing property and security documentation.
• Liaising with monitoring surveyors and other professional advisers.
