Job summary

GLL is recruiting a Leisure Team Member Apprentice in Wantage. You will join the UK's largest leisure provider in a role linked to customer experience, gym inductions and helping deliver swimming lessons where required. The 18-month apprenticeship includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid at Work, and a Certificate in Teaching Swimming.

This hands-on programme offers a path to develop skills in health, fitness and customer service within a community-focused leisure centre.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship programme lasting approximately 18 months.
• Qualification targets include NPLQ, First Aid at Work (Level 3), and Certificate in Teaching Swimming.

Responsibilities

• Understand the services and products on offer to assist with customer questions and queries.
• Support different types of customers with different needs.
• Support the centre in gaining customer feedback on our products and services, including dealing with customer complaints.
• Support the centre to deliver swimming lessons where required (qualification dependent).
• Share knowledge with customers on the role exercise plays in health and wellbeing.
• Conduct customers' gym inductions and health screening where required (qualification dependent).
• Plan and deliver exercise sessions to meet customers' health and fitness goals.
