Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management in Belfast is seeking a hands-on Cleaning Manager to take ownership of a single leisure-site operation. You will lead the cleaning team, plan rotas, monitor KPIs and maintain high standards across all areas.

This permanent role offers 30-35 hours per week with early starts from 5:30am and occasional weekends, with flexibility to cover shifts as required. You will work closely with the client and management team to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cleaning Manager, Site Manager or Supervisor or similar role.
• Experience managing cleaning teams.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards.
• Experience in leisure, hospitality, retail, facilities management or customer-facing environments is advantageous.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning standards.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day cleaning operation across the leisure site.
• Leading, motivating and supporting the cleaning team.
• Planning rotas and ensuring staffing levels.
• Carrying out regular quality checks and site inspections.
• Maintaining high cleaning and presentation standards.
• Managing client relationships and responding to issues.
• Monitoring performance against KPIs and service standards.
• Supporting recruitment, training and onboarding of cleaning staff.
• Managing absence and ensuring adequate cover.
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance and company procedures.
• Identifying opportunities to improve standards and customer experience.
