Your main responsibilities will include supervising swimming lessons, ensuring safety, delivering lifesaving and first aid support, and providing excellent customer service in a premium environment.

In this role, you will supervise the pool, support the teaching team, and use technology to enhance customer engagement. You will work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality experience, participate in training and team meetings, and share best practices.

Full training and qualifications are provided, and we value character and personality in our recruits.

Duties include:

  1. Providing lifeguard duties during learn-to-swim lessons for children aged 0-11, from non-swimmers to competent swimmers.
  2. Delivering exceptional customer care to swimmers and their families.
  3. Ensuring the safe use, storage, and maintenance of all equipment.
  4. Completing health and safety checks and recording them electronically.
  5. Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility.
  6. Participating in training and performance feedback to uphold high standards.
  7. Acting as a positive role model and encouraging children to reach their swimming potential.
  8. Engaging with customers, showing them around the centre, promoting memberships, and attending team training sessions.
  9. Awarding badges and certificates to celebrate achievements.
  10. Adhering to all policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities (training provided).

Person Specification:

  • Training and qualifications provided; existing qualifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to high standards.
  • Patience and perseverance in encouraging swimmers.
  • Energetic, passionate, and hardworking personality.
  • Ambition to make a positive impact on children’s lives.
  • Reasonable swimming ability.
  • Ability to work in an active, energetic environment.

Employee Benefits:

  • Birthday off
  • Bright and colourful work kit
  • Discounts on swimming lessons for family and friends
  • Recognition schemes, rewards, and team events
  • Monthly training and collaboration sessions
  • Opportunities for further training and qualifications
