Job summary

Your Trust in Heywood is seeking a Leisure Attendant to provide professional, efficient and friendly service to pool users at Heywood Sports Village. You will contribute to safe, enjoyable leisure experiences for all ages, performing lifeguarding duties, equipment handling, and assisting with events.

The role requires holding an NPLQ, strong customer service skills, and commitment to ongoing training to maintain qualification.

Qualifications

  • Hold National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
  • Experience dealing with customers and groups.
  • Hold Emergency First Aid or commit to achieving within 3–6 months.
  • Develop positive relationships with stakeholders and public.
  • Friendly, outgoing and able to follow procedures under pressure.

Responsibilities

When you join Your Trust as a Leisure Attendant you will be part of a charity based across the Rochdale Borough that aims to support every member of our diverse community to live their best life; inspiring them to be healthier, happier and creative people.

Salary: Band 2, £25,949 per annum (pro-rate for part time hours) / £13.45 per hour

Hours: 34.83 hours per week

Location: Heywood Sports Village

What will my role be as a Leisure Attendant?

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes lifeguarding and poolside supervision, preparation, moving and dismantling of equipment, housekeeping and supporting with functions and events. You will also attend ongoing training to maintain NPLQ qualification and to achieve by re-qualification.

What do I need to have?

  • Hold National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • Experience of dealing with customers and groups, clubs and organisations
  • Hold Emergency First Aid or demonstrate commitment and ability to achieve within 3-6 months
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders, partners and members of the public
  • Friendly,Ability to follow laid down procedures, work under pressure and without constant supervision outgoing person who likes to work with different clients
