Job summary

Your Trust in Middleton is seeking a Customer Service Assistant - Casual to join a charity that serves the Rochdale Borough. The role involves greeting customers, directing them to services, handling cash, and promoting allied services, with a focus on accuracy and excellent customer care.

The position offers casual hours as required, basis Band 2 salary (£25,949 p.a. pro-rata for part-time) or £13.45 per hour, and a supportive environment emphasizing inclusivity and community impact.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience in a reception or customer-focused environment.
• Experience of dealing with customers.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders and the public, including handling compliments and complaints.
• Friendly, outgoing person who enjoys working with different clients.
• Knowledge of computerised leisure booking and management systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, efficient, high-quality service to customers of Your Trust.

What will my role be as a Customer Service Assistant - Casual?

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate service they require, being responsible for cash collection and reconciliation, promoting other services offered and ensuring up to date and accurate information is available at all times.

What do I need to have?

• Qualified to GCSE Grade C / 4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent
• Experience of working in a reception or customer focussed environment
• Experience of dealing with customers
• Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders, partners and members of the public including effective management of compliments and complaints
• Friendly, outgoing person who likes to work with different clients
• Knowledge of computerised leisure booking and management systems
• Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
