Job summary

Away Resorts at Piperdam Leisure Resort in Dundee is seeking friendly Poolside and Gym Assistants. You’ll be the go-to person for guests, ensuring safety, cleanliness and compliance with health and safety rules while delivering daily operational duties.

Part-time or full-time roles with weekend and bank holiday shifts. You’ll need experience in a gym or pool, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, great interpersonal skills, vigilance and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and a passion for working in a gym or pool.
• A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPNQ).
• Fantastic interpersonal skills – be assertive as well as friendly.
• Naturally vigilant and helpful – guests come first, safety a priority.

Responsibilities

£12.71 per hour - paid weekly!

Who are we?

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside and gym. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements. As a leisure assistant you will be responsible for the daily operational duties and performance of the gym and pool related activities.

You will be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time..

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need.

There’s lots of training on offer but you will need:

• Previous experience and a passion for working in a gym or pool
• A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
• Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
• To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.

If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.

• Exercise to music Experience
• Gym related qualification to a level 2 or higher
• Pool plant operators certificate
• Experience of working as part of a team.
