Job summary

Future Select Recruitment is recruiting a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer to cover contracts across the North West. You will perform risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems, identify remedial works, and produce detailed reports.

This role requires on-site travel across locations in the North West with training and ongoing professional development offered. Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold the City and Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessing.
• Experience performing Legionella Risk Assessments on domestic hot and cold systems.
• Familiar with ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines.
• Ability to produce bespoke technical reports.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Willingness to travel across the North West.

Responsibilities

• Perform legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems.
• Identify remedial works and risks; report findings to clients.
• Produce detailed technical reports and schematics.
• Conduct TMV replacements and servicing.
• Descale showers; clean and disinfect storage tanks.
• Flushing of little-used outlets; act as client liaison.

Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester

Salary/Benefits: £27k - £39k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking an experienced and adaptable Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer to cover new contracts across the North West of England. They are looking for someone who is confident with full legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold systems, in addition to a range of plumbing and water hygiene duties. Applicants must be self-sufficient on site and will be confident in providing a high level of service. You will be travelling across: Wigan, Skelmersdale, Bolton, Rochdale, Manchester, Bury, Oldham, Hyde, Eccles, Stockport, Altrincham, Wilmslow, Warrington, Knutsford, St Helens, Prescot, Ormskirk, Liverpool, Formby, Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port, Frodsham, Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley, Colne, Macclesfield, Chester, Crewe.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Must hold the City and Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessing
• Diverse experience undertaking: Legionella Risk Assessments, plumbing and water hygiene tasks
• Fully conversant in ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
• Confident in producing bespoke technical reports
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• Flexible to travel as per client needs

The Role:

• Attending client sites to perform legionella risk assessments on domestic hot and cold water systems
• Highlighting any required remedial works and found risks
• Producing detailed technical reports and schematic drawings
• TMV replacements and servicing
• Deadleg removals
• Showerhead descales
• Cleans and disinfections on cold water storage tanks
• Flushing on little used outlets
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Representing the company in a professional manner
