Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in London is seeking a dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor to join its growing team. You will conduct risk assessments and technical inspections of water systems in line with key guidelines, collecting data on handheld devices and reporting findings to clients.

The role requires a recognised Legionella qualification, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to ensure statutory compliance across sites in the London/South East region.

Qualifications

• A recognised industry qualification in Legionella Risk Assessing is essential.
• Proven experience surveying and assessing building water systems for Legionella.
• Strong IT literacy and experience collecting data on handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and technical inspection/testing of water systems per ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Produce precise risk assessment reports, site schematics, and remedial recommendations using digital templates.
• Provide clear, impartial technical advice to clients on-site to manage risk and statutory compliance.
• Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained, and manage company vehicle.
• Work safely and adhere to quality management systems.

The Role:

Are you a career-driven water hygiene professional looking to progress with a leading player in the compliance and environmental sector? We are partnering with a highly respected compliance consultancy to find a dedicated and self-motivated Legionella Risk Assessor to join their expanding team in the London/South east.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Assessments: Competently undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and technical inspection/testing of water systems in strict compliance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
• Accurate Reporting: Produce precise, factual risk assessment reports, site schematic drawings, and remedial recommendations using digital templates on handheld devices.
• Technical Advice: Provide clear, impartial, and expert advice to clients on-site to help them manage risk and maintain statutory compliance.
• Equipment & Vehicle Care: Ensure all allocated testing equipment remains calibrated and maintained, and take appropriate care of your company-provided vehicle.
• Safety & Quality Compliance: Work safely and with consideration for everyone affected by your activities, adhering to accredited quality management systems.

About You:

• Qualifications: You should hold a recognised industry qualification in Legionella Risk Assessing.
• Experience: Proven experience surveying and assessing building water systems for Legionella across a variety of sectors (such as housing, commercial, or healthcare).
• Technical Skills: Highly IT literate, with strong experience collecting data and managing workloads through handheld tablets/PDAs.
• Key Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive "can-do" attitude when interfacing with clients, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Essentials: A full UK driving licence is required to support regional travel across your designated Midlands patch.
