Job summary

USP College in Essex is seeking a motivated Teacher of Legal Services to deliver high-quality, career-focused teaching across Health, Social Care and Early Years pathways. You will engage students from Levels 1 to 4 and contribute to curriculum development and college life.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusion, and innovative use of digital tools to enhance feedback and outcomes. Hybrid working and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach Law and related subjects at FE level.
• Strong understanding of progression pathways and enrichment opportunities.
• Enthusiastic about teaching with effective strategies for Levels 1–4.
• Confident using digital tools to engage learners.
• Ability to balance academic rigour with encouragement and support.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
• Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to help every learner succeed.
• Make effective use of digital platforms (Teams, Google Classroom) and tools such as AI to enhance learning and feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development, open events, and student induction activities.
• Work with colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health and safety policies.
