Do you have a background as a Legal Secretary?
Have you got 2 years plus experience of working on Wills, Probate and Estate Planning?
Are you able to work in the Maidenhead area?
We are proud to be supporting this well established and growing law firm. With a number of branches in London and the Home Counties, the firm now seek a Wills, Probate and Estate Planning Assistant to to support the team.
The salary is £26,000 per annum for your legal secretarial experience, audio ability and some exposure to this division. However, the client is able to pay up to £30,000 for 5 years plus experience and excellent legal secretarial exposure. On top of the salary you will receive a range of benefits that include: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, contributory pension, flexible leave, perk box, cycle to work, a wellbeing initiative and continued professional development.
The main purpose of this role is to assist the team members with the smooth progression of work on behalf of the busy client base and ensure exemplary customer service.
The responsibilities of the job include:
Managing dictation and inputting documents and correspondence on behalf of the lawyers
Scanning the incomung post and documentation
Attending to clients on the phone and when visiting the office. Taking down messages and passing to the relevent colleagues
Managing the filing and storage and retrieval of client files
Drafting of documents as requested by a lawyer
Opening and closing of files
Supporting the lawyers and assistants as required and helping to cover sickness and holidays.
Making appointments for clients and keeping the lawyers diaries up to date
Managing the post and other administration for the Inheritance Protection Team
Ensuring confidentiality and safe keeping of private documents
Other administration as required within the team.
The hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm.
