An established industry player is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their dynamic team in Leeds City Centre. This role offers an immediate start on a temporary basis, providing essential support to partners and fee earners during a busy period. As a Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for preparing and managing crucial documents, liaising with legal representatives, and effectively prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess fast and accurate typing skills, strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and excellent communication abilities. Job description

Legal Secretary
Leeds City Centre
Immediate Start
£15 per hour

Our client is a National Legal Firm who are looking for a Legal Secretary to support this busy period. You will work as part of the team and will be providing secretarial support to the partners and fee earners. The role is to start immediately on a temporary basis.

As a Legal Secretary your duties will include:

  1. Prepare initial documents for fee earners (both hard copy and electronic) by sorting, scanning, creating and amending document bundles for cases
  2. Checking document bundles
  3. Liaise with Counsel and other legal representatives
  4. Manage fee earner diaries, booking day to day appointments and making travel arrangements
  5. Effective prioritisation of tasks within the team working with their STL to meet deadlines whilst managing a full workload
  6. Maintain monthly MI reporting for the fee earners – pulling off information and updating documents
  7. Prepare correspondence and documents both written and occasionally from digital dictation
  8. Use a case management system and open and close files for the team
  9. Handle confidential information in line with the firm’s data security protocols

As a Legal Secretary you will have the following key skills:

  1. Fast and accurate typing skills
  2. Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word & Excel
  3. Superb team player
  4. Excellent communication skills and phone manner
  5. Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Legal Secretary | Leeds City Centre | Immediate Start | £15 per hour
