DUTIES

Your duties as the Legal Secretary include:

  • Assist Solicitors in preparing and managing legal documents related to Family Law, Wills, Probate or LPAs
  • Conduct research and gather information pertinent to cases
  • Maintain and organise client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Communicate with clients, both in person and over the phone, providing exceptional customer service and answering inquiries
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates as needed
  • Prepare legal correspondence and documents, including letters, contracts, and court forms
  • Assist in the drafting and filing of legal pleadings and motions
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the legal team, including managing calendars, making travel arrangements, and maintaining office supplies

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary with a focus on Family, Wills, Probate or LPAs is required
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Client-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology in the relevant practice areas
