Job summary

A local law client is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Corporate team in York. This permanent, full-time role offers the opportunity for home working after training. You will support the Head of Department and other Solicitors with various duties including diary management and document preparation.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a Legal Secretary is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Manage diary, organize meetings, travel, and accommodations.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents and perform basic billing.
  • Audio and copy typing, liaising with clients.

WorkwithYorkshire are working with a local law client, who have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join their Corporate team based in York. This is a permanent, full-time role with the opportunity for home working once training has been completed. This role will be working for the Head of Department and working alongside other Solicitors within the department.

Duties:

  • Diary management, organising meetings, travel and accommodation
  • Assisting with drafting legal documents and basic billing
  • Audio and copy typing
  • Liaising with clients both face to face and over the phone

Key skills and experience;

  • Previous Legal Secretarial experience
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both face to face and over the phone
