Job Description:

An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract for the role of Legal Manager (Head of Agreements, Information and Disputes).

As Head of Agreements, Information and Disputes, you will report to the Head of Legal Services and oversee a team of 5 individuals. Your responsibilities include overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will focus on legal projects with higher value, risk, and complexity, and build relationships with leaders across the organization and external stakeholders, including government and other NDPBs.

Requirements include being a UK-qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience. Experience managing change in a dynamic environment, along with excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills, is essential. Experience working for a similar public body or within the public sector is highly desirable.

Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, a generous holiday allowance, and a civil service pension scheme. The organization offers a hybrid working policy, with staff based in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Nuneaton. Salaries range from £48,246 to £60,308 nationally, and from £53,255 to £66,569 in London, depending on experience.

Please note that salary levels and PQE are used as guides; applications from all candidates demonstrating the necessary skills are welcome.

We aim to respond to all applications within 48 hours. Due to high volume, we may not respond to every candidate individually. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours, your application has been unsuccessful, and your details will not be retained.
