A non-departmental public body is seeking a qualified Legal Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to oversee compliance and legal projects. An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract for the role of Legal Manager.
As the Legal Manager, you will report to the Head of Legal Services and manage a team of 5. Your responsibilities include overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will focus on high-value, high-risk, and complex legal projects, and build relationships with organizational leaders and external stakeholders, including government entities and other NDPBs.
Candidates must be UK qualified solicitors, barristers, or equivalent, with at least seven years of relevant experience. Management experience, excellent commercial acumen, and negotiation skills are essential. Experience working within the public sector or for similar public bodies is highly desirable.
