ADP is seeking a student on a placement year for a 12-month paid legal internship starting August 2027. The role offers hybrid work (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) at our Staines-Upon-Thames location with a dedicated mentor to guide your development.

Responsibilities

• Get involved with strategic legal projects
• Learn about data privacy law and its impact on customers and ADP
• Write letters to customers on various matters
• Review contracts and identify key terms and enforceability
• Understand how the legal department is organised globally and in country
• Assist with incident management and root cause analysis documents
• Prepare training for parts of the business on legal and commercial matters
• Collaborate with finance on debt collection and cash flow matters
• Understand regulatory frameworks around a business

Things You'll Do

• Get involved with strategic projects which the legal department is working on
• Learn about data privacy law and how it impacts customers and ADP itself
• Write letters to customers on a variety of matters
• Review contracts and understand the key important terms of those contracts and how they can be enforced
• Understand how any legal department organises itself globally and in country
• Incident management and the process of dealing with incidents within any business and work on root cause analysis documents
• Prepare training for parts of the business on legal and commercial matters
• Work with finance and credit control on debt collection matters understanding cash flow, customer insolvencies and company changes
• Understand some of the regulatory framework around a business

• Experience with Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
