Job summary

A leading global infrastructure fund is seeking a Legal Counsel with expertise in Corporate M&A and Private Equity in London. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with investment teams, manage legal workstreams, and engage in a variety of transactional work within a small legal team. Qualifications

Job Description:

SSQ is pleased to partner with a global infrastructure fund with over $40bn AUM in their search for a deal-focused Private Equity / M&A lawyer. If you love doing deals and want to move in-house to an active fund, this opportunity is for you!

The role is office-based 4 days/week. The small legal team in London offers significant responsibility and a variety of roles with a focus on transactional work.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Drafting and reviewing M&A transaction documents, collaborating with investment and asset management teams, managing legal workstreams, coordinating with external counsel, and assisting with transaction execution.
  2. Implementing and maintaining management incentive plans.
  3. Supporting the asset management team on portfolio company matters, including bolt-on M&A, corporate governance, HR, and financing transactions.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate transactions, cross-border M&A, and private equity, preferably with some exposure to finance and capital markets (debt or equity) from a leading global law firm. Experience in infrastructure and energy transactions is highly desirable.
