Our global entertainment client comprises many of the world’s most popular and iconic multimedia and entertainment brands. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join the Content Legal & Compliance team in London to cover an internal secondment.
You will work with in-house producers and commissioners to provide programme and online content legal and regulatory advice on a broad range of issues, including defamation, contempt, privacy, data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance within the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, advertising standards, and practices.
We are seeking a qualified media regulatory lawyer (solicitor or barrister) with prior experience advising on the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, as well as privacy, defamation, and contempt issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience with programme legal/regulatory compliance related to content creation and publication in both public service and commercial broadcasting sectors. An in-depth understanding of media law and regulation, including defamation, contempt, privacy, copyright, data protection, and Ofcom standards, is essential.
