Euromonitor International, a global data analytics leader, seeks a commercially minded Legal Counsel in the UK to draft, review and negotiate customer and commercial contracts, partnering with Sales, Product and Procurement while managing risk around AI-enabled services.

You will shape how the Legal team supports the business, develop global templates and train Sales teams, with exposure to IP, data protection and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction.
• 3–5+ years’ PQE in complex commercial transactions.
• Experience in-house, in private practice, or both.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review and negotiate customer and commercial contracts end-to-end.
• Assess contractual risk with Sales and set negotiating positions.
• Develop practical legal positions translating Euromonitor’s risk appetite.
• Support Procurement with supplier agreements and risk assessments.

As our business and technology continue to evolve, we’re looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our collaborative Legal team.

The opportunity

This is a broad, hands‑on role with commercial contracting and negotiation at its core. You’ll work closely with our UK and global Sales teams, as well as colleagues across Product, Technology and Procurement, providing practical legal advice that helps the business move forward while managing risk effectively.

Alongside complex customer and supplier negotiations, you’ll have the opportunity to support new products and revenue streams, the expansion of our service platform and our continued adoption of AI.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll join a Legal team that sees itself as an enabler of the business. We’re looking for someone comfortable taking ownership, exercising judgement and finding pragmatic solutions rather than simply identifying legal risk.

What you’ll be doing

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of customer and commercial contracts, supporting deals from initial discussion through to signature.
• Partner with Sales and commercial teams to assess contractual risk, establish clear negotiating positions and find commercially effective solutions.
• Develop practical legal positions and guidance that translate Euromonitor’s risk appetite into clear, consistent approaches for the business.
• Support Procurement with supplier agreements and contractual risk assessments.
• Work alongside Product and commercial stakeholders on new services, products, go‑to‑market strategies and revenue opportunities.
• Partner with Product, Technology and commercial teams on the evolving legal landscape around AI, including customer and vendor terms, IP considerations and regulatory developments.
• Help develop and improve global contract templates, contractual playbooks, governance and risk frameworks.
• Deliver training and guidance to global Sales teams, helping colleagues confidently navigate common contractual issues.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and enable greater self‑service across the business.
• As the role develops, gain exposure to broader areas including IP, data protection, regulatory compliance and general legal advisory work.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified solicitor in the UK or an equivalent jurisdiction, ideally with 3–5+ years’ PQE and strong experience of complex commercial transactions gained in-house, in private practice, or through a combination of both.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• The confidence to own legal matters end‑to‑end and provide clear, concise advice.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to balancing opportunity and legal risk.
• A proactive, resourceful and solution‑focused mindset.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for developing your knowledge across emerging areas of law and regulation.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute across the wider Legal team.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience working within a technology, data or subscription‑based business would be particularly valuable, as would exposure to multi‑jurisdictional transactions, product or platform legal work.
• Experience or knowledge of AI or intellectual property law would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential.
