Ready to take your legal career beyond the traditional?
Want to work closer to the business, influence commercial decisions and get involved in projects that span multiple international markets?
We're looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join the EMEA legal team of a leading global organisation operating across technology, tools and consumer products.
Working closely with the senior legal leadership team, you'll provide practical legal advice to businesses across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, supporting commercial agreements, data privacy matters and strategic business projects.
This is an opportunity to combine your legal expertise with real commercial exposure in a fast-paced, international environment where collaboration, initiative and sound judgement matter.
What you'll be doing
Commercial contracts & legal advice
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution and service contracts.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to multiple businesses across the EMEA region.
- Help stakeholders understand contractual risks and find practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, actionable advice to support business decisions.
Data privacy & compliance
- Support data privacy matters, including Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
- Advise on relevant UK and European data protection requirements, including GDPR.
- Help the business navigate legal and regulatory considerations across different markets.
Business projects & legal operations
- Support a variety of business projects, helping ensure legal requirements are addressed throughout implementation.
- Review and draft legal documentation for marketing campaigns and other business activities.
- Assist with document execution, signing and closing procedures, including preparing signature packs.
- Support legal billing processes, review invoices and collate relevant financial information.
Working with the wider business
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
- Work closely with senior legal colleagues and contribute to the delivery of wider business initiatives.
- Balance multiple priorities while ensuring legal work is delivered accurately and efficiently.
What we're looking for
You’ll be a qualified lawyer who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Qualification as a solicitor or equivalent lawyer in the UK or an EEA jurisdiction.
- Around 3-5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
- A solid background in commercial law and contract drafting, ideally gained within a law firm and/or an international business.
- Good working knowledge of UK and European data privacy legislation, including GDPR.
- The confidence to communicate complex legal matters clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the judgement to work independently and collaboratively.
Also beneficial:
- Experience advising on competition law or cartel-related matters.
- Strong Microsoft Word skills, with Excel and PowerPoint knowledge also useful.
Why consider this opportunity?
- £Excellent base salary, plus a 10% completion bonus.
- International exposure: Work with businesses and stakeholders across EMEA.
- Commercially focused legal work: Get involved in contracts, privacy and projects that directly support business operations.
- Senior stakeholder access: Work closely with experienced legal leadership.
- Variety and responsibility: Build experience across multiple legal disciplines rather than focusing on one narrow area.
- A defined 15-month assignment: An opportunity to broaden your experience and make a tangible contribution to an international organisation.
