Job summary

A reputable legal practice in Manchester is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with SRA, process financial transactions, and manage client accounts. Strong communication skills and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role are required. Benefits include a company pension and social events.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years' experience working as a legal cashier or a similar finance role within a law firm.
• Strong working knowledge of legal accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing accurate and timely financial transactions.
• Ensuring all transactions are compliant with SRA and regulations.
• Manage and maintain client account records.
• Handle petty cash and conduct reconciliation.
• Assist with VAT returns and compliance.
• Process incoming and outgoing payments, including BACs.
• Reconcile bank statements daily and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Post expenses and financial transactions.
• Support month end and year end closing processes, including reports.
