Job summary

A reputable legal practice in Manchester is seeking a Legal Cashier to join their accounts team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm. Responsibilities include processing financial transactions, managing client accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position offers a salary of up to £35,000 plus great benefits and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years' experience working as a legal cashier or a similar finance role within a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Processing accurate and timely financial transactions.
• Ensuring all transactions are compliant with SRA and regulations.
• Manage and maintain client account records.
• Handle petty cash and conduct reconciliation.
• Assist with VAT returns and compliance.
• Process incoming and outgoing payments, including BACs.
• Reconcile bank statements daily and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Post expenses and financial transactions.
• Support month end and year end closing processes, including reports.
