Search Consultancy Ltd, recruiting on behalf of a well-established Glasgow law firm, seeks a confident Legal Cashier to join the finance team. The role is full-time, based in the Glasgow office, with hours 9:00–17:00 and an immediate start.

You will ensure compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules, process transactions, and support audits. Applicants with Scottish practice experience and SOLAS qualification (or willingness to train) are encouraged to apply.

• 12+ months experience as Legal Cashier in a Scottish law firm.
• Strong knowledge of the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules.
• Experience of payroll processes, audit preparation and regulatory inspections.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and audit trails.
• Process client and office account transactions, supplier invoices and firm payments.
• Prepare documentation and support external audits and Accounts Certificates.
• Assist with month end and year-end financial procedures.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Practice Manager and external accountants.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure records are accurate and up to date.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established legal practice with more than 200 years in business. Renowned for its collaborative culture and commitment to delivering an exceptional service, the firm is looking to welcome an experienced Legal Cashier to its friendly and supportive finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised Legal Cashier who takes pride in providing an accurate and efficient cashiering service while ensuring full compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules, Anti Money Laundering regulations, VAT requirements, and the firm's internal financial procedures.

This is a full time, permanent position based in the firm's Glasgow office.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00

This is an office-based role.

• SOLAS Legal Cashier qualification, or willingness to undertake training following probation.
