The Role

This role involves working with the cashier team in Glasgow to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all banking transactions, posting of professional costs, processing payments, and reconciliation of firm and client bank accounts.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain client accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with relevant regulations, such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
2. Perform regular reconciliations of the firm's bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date entries.
3. Prepare and issue bills to clients and handle billing queries.
4. Manage the firm's petty cash, record expenses, and ensure funds are available for daily operations.
5. Monitor market trends for thought leadership and best practices to enhance credit control and build a strong recruitment brand.
6. Maintain detailed financial records, including ledgers, receipts, and invoices.
7. Process various financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers for both the firm's office and client accounts.

The Candidate

To succeed, you should have extensive experience in a cashier role, with strong MS Excel skills, excellent numeric, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail. Experience in a large international law practice is desirable.
