Job summary

Carpenters Group is seeking experienced legal advisors to support the management of high-volume RTA Fast Track claims. You will help deliver a robust claims handling process focused on client outcomes and fee generation.

You will liaise with medical agencies, experts and insurers, assist in liability assessments and contribute to settlements while aligning with internal procedures and performance targets.

Qualifications

• This role requires experience with high-volume RTA Fast Track claims and full litigation processes.
• Solid knowledge of CPR, legislation and relevant case law is expected.
• Experience with a case management system and MS Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively progress high-volume Fast Track RTA claims according to internal procedures.
• Assist in litigation processes to support fee income and business success.
• Utilise the firm’s Case Management Systems to identify strategically beneficial cases.
• Liaise with sources, medical agencies, experts, insurers and other parties in a timely manner.
• Assist with liability and quantum assessment, reviewing medical reports and case law.
• Support cases with denial of liability and causation arguments.
• Contribute to settlements and client advice on cost risks while meeting targets.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the business.

We are looking for legal advisors with experience of supporting on caseload management of high-volume RTA Fast Track claims. You must be able to assist the delivery of a robust claims handling process - with a key focus on client outcomes and fee generation.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Pro-actively assisting in the progression of high-volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA claims in line with agreed internal procedures and practices.
• This supporting role involves aiding in litigation processes to help generate fee income and contribute to the overall success of the business.
• Making use of the firm’s Case Management Systems, postholders will assist on the identification of cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial and support the progression of such cases accordingly.
• To liaise appropriately and timely with sources, medical agencies, experts, third party insurers and other relevant parties
• Supporting the assessment of liability and quantum to include reviewing medical reports, researching and obtaining relevant case law, drafting schedules of special damages and reviewing suitable awards for compensation.
• To support with cases with denial of liability and causation arguments
• A practical yet commercial approach to settlements is essential, including supporting client advice on cost risks. The role also involves contributing to performance targets (e.g., profit costs, case issuance, and settlements) while maintaining the firm’s integrity.
• Additional tasks may be assigned as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.

Experience And Knowledge

• This role is suitable for experienced legal advisors with significant knowledge of RTA claims handling and the full litigation process.
• A solid working knowledge of the CPR, legislation and relevant case law.
• Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of MS Office.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Focus on delivering quality service to clients and the firm.
