Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a reputable Police Force , based in Devon and Cornwall , which needs a Legal Advisor to join their team. This role would be well suited to a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive .

ROLE: Legal Advisor

LOCATION: Devon and Cornwall

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months rolling

The responsibilities of the Legal Advisor:

• Investigate, research, and advise upon a range of contentious and non-contentious legal issues, including high-profile and high-risk matters.
• Prepare for and carry out advocacy representing the Chief Constable in a variety of legal proceedings including Civil Litigation, Employment Tribunals, Inquests, internal misconduct hearings, Family Court proceedings and obtaining Civil Preventative Orders.
• Attend court across various locations Devon and Cornwall

The person:

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with 3+ years of PQE Civil Litigation
• Someone with public sector experience
• Someone with strong advocacy skills and is able to attend court when required.
